Marriage is one of the hardest things that any of us experience. Agree???
But…….we have to remember that God has given each of us the endurance for this godly task, the moment we said I do!
To complete this task to see it forward and to endure those hard times. We must wrap our marriage love in scripture.
The love that we share as husband and wife is something that cannot be replaced but it is fueled by our belief, our prayer, and our trust, in the Lord Jesus Christ. Today on this Independence Day we are praying especially for those men and women who still may not be free in their marriages, free to pray openly, free to express their feelings, free to be honest with one another. Life happens, choices are made, and often times we hurt and neglect each other along the way.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 NLT
God is in the RESTORATION and REDEMPTION buisness. He can take a “dead” marriage and bring it to life again. He can take an unbelieving wife, and turn her heart towards His word and truth again. He can also take a man who never saw the example of a loving husband and father in his own life, to exemplify those qualities as a faithful husband and friend, like never before.
Restore us, O Lord , and bring us back to you again! Give us back the joys we once had!
Lamentations 5:21 NLT
With God all things are possible!
Pray with us…..
Oh Father, be with those men and women today who may have the characteristics that we speak of in this post. Will you show them now more than ever what truth, honesty and true Freedom looks like in marriage. Covenant Committment is a lifestyle change with no opportunities to run away. Marriage is your idea. You created it. Show us as husband and wife, how to seek you daily for your heavenly wisdom to survive. May we both strive to be the husband or wife you created us to be. In Jesus name, Amen.
In Christ alone.
