Prayer220Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. ~ (Ephesians 5: 20-31) ~

Submission is not an opportunity to throw around your Authority. To submit means to respectfully receive the opinion of your husband/wife, in a loving and patient way. Father I thank you for the word submission and for the ever-increasing way that you are revealing to me how I am not submitting respectfully to my husband/wife in our Marriage. Submission is an intricate piece of our Married love and it plays a significant role in how we grow together as Husband and Wife. thinking4This prayer of submission is not only a repentance prayer seeking forgiveness for any time that I ceased to submit to my wife/husband, but it is also a plea to TEACH us BOTH how to respectfully submit to one another. Marriage is a union of two string-willed individuals and my Marriage has yet to disappoint in this area. I am a string man/woman and the strength that I project into my Marriage may sometimes hinder the growth that my wife/husband may need to survive. Forgive me for over-stepping my responsibility as a respectful, submitted husband/wife, and teach me daily how to not only hear my wife/husband with a closed mouth and an open heart, but to listen intently as the Spirit of Truth shows me through my wife’s/husband’s loving words what lessons are meaningful to our Married Love. Marriage is a covenant vow of forever, and I am committed to forever. I am committed to seek your instructions daily God to make me a better Husband/Wife, and to reflect the love of Jesus onto every facet of my wife/husband each and every day. handsPurpleMy submission to my husband/wife, begins with my willingness to submit to you God. My submission to my Faith and Belief in you God is a reflection of how I submit to my Marriage. If any of these areas have fallen by the waste-side, and I am no longer committed to my Faith, and my responsibility as a true believer in Christ, I ask your forgiveness today.Vows2 I come before you humbly receiving and believing that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, I accept Him in my heart right now, and believe that Jesus died for my sins, and this day, I am born again. In my re-birth, I commit to trusting you to guide my every step as a FAITHFUL Wife/Husband, knowing that the intimacy that you and I share God, is a direct correlation of the intimacy, love, and relationship that I will return back to my husband/wife. I honor submission today. Thank you for teaching me how to be a Faithful, Submitted participant in my Marriage, and thank you for believing that in my Marriage, I am a Righteous participant in the Love and Longevity of our Marriage vows. I humbly ask this prayer, in Jesus name I pray…… ~ Amen
