Marrying my Best FriendAre you still not sure what a “Best Friend” in marriage truly is??? Husbands and Wives, spend the majority of their time with each other and many still don’t understand how important the FACT that they are “doing life”  everyday with their  God-picked very best friend…….

Many marriages fail because men and women can’t understand that in marriage, after God,  your husband/wife  is your VERY best friend. Besides the fact that you get to share your inner-most secrets and also laugh and cry together, you also get to build one another up, and encourage the one person who loves you for who you are……. “Friend”, as we notice in this fallen world, like “I Love You”, has been used out of context therefore many don’t understand the importance of these two words of endearment for growth in marriage. Happiness my Best FriendBoaz see Ruth 2 knew without the shadow of a doubt when he laid eyes on Ruth that she would not only his wife,, but his very best friend. This type of relationship that Ruth & Boaz had before marriage was an example for us in our present day to understand friendship between husband and wife, and how important this is to marital longevity. Friend, friend noun \ˈfrend\  : a person who you like and enjoy being with : a person who helps or supports someone or something…. who better to be a friend in marriage but your husband/wife. In our own selfish desires we look outside of our marriage in our social or church circles for the one gift that God gave us when we spoke our marriage vows. Marriage friendships begin when we understand that we are marrying our best friend. Converse Today, ask God to transform you into the best friend that your husband/wife needs. Nothing or no one can replace the covenant that you have with God and the covenant you committed to on your wedding day to your husband/wife. Begin again today friend, working on your best self…..many times what you are lacking in life and marriage is right in front of you….In order for you to receive the love of  best friend, you have to trust God’s instructions as He shows you how to be the change you want to see in him/her. God is moving in your marriage even as we pray today, surrender your will and submit to His…we guarantee you that this is the beginning of a marital friendship with your husband/wife, that you’ve been praying for…..Happy Cleaving!! xoxo

“True Friendship”

After David had finished talking with Saul, he met Jonathan, the king’s son. There was an immediate bond between them, for Jonathan loved David. From that day on Saul kept David with him and wouldn’t let him return home. And Jonathan made a solemn pact with David, because he loved him as he loved himself.  1Samuel 18:1-3(NLT)

There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother~ Proverbs 18:24 (NLT)

Thank you Father for teaching me how to be a friend to my husband/wife. This part of our relationship in our Marriage is as important as the love we share in Marriage. Our Marriage now more than ever, husbands and wives need friendships among one another. Like, David, he and Jonathan became friends suddenly. Teach us as Husband and Wife how to become friends to each other so that we can become friends to others who are in and around our lives. Friendship is how Faith, Love, Hope and Patience are cultivated. Teach us how to build these characteristics within our lives so that we can build godly friendships that are built on solid foundations. Thank you for allowing us to be friends in our Marriage and building friendships that last over time. Thank you for building our character as individuals, to become the best of Friends. We ask these and all blessings……… ~In Jesus Name, we pray Amen~
