~Day 12~ A “wife of faith”…starts with ME!
Hello Wives! Today’s marriage point is created with you in mind! Many of us have answered the call that God has uniquely created for our lives. This faith comes with, hopes, dreams, blessings, tests, trials, disappointments and many other tests. Like us here at iCleave, we too believe that a “wife of faith”, is a unique addition to the kingdom. Look husbands, don’t take today off just because we are focusing on your better half….remember, as we cleave to one another in Marriage, we experience growth and change together. Pray today husband that something from this post or our daily marriage prayer, will change your wife’s heart and mind to move in the direction that He has called her to serve in. After all, “beside every GOOD man, is a dynamic woman!” Can we get an Amen???? J
Proverbs 31:10-31, gives many women hope and security of the possibilities that exist inside the he vast array of gifts that she has in built on the inside of her life. Many women have emailed or posted that they are still in search for what God truly wants for her to do in this life. Many have supported their husband’s job ventures, walked in women’s ministry for years, and even raised children that are very successful but still have a hunger and thirst for something that lies dormant on the inside of them You are not alone!
10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29″Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31, is a template to the many different ways God has “gifted” women. Many women are intimidated by this verse, some may not see themselves in it at all. But thank you Jesus that we serve a God who sees things in us that we don’t see in ourselves. 22She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. (Prov31:22) Have you ever read that scripture and said to yourself, “I barely have time to make-up my bed every morning, let alone find that “linen” and “purple” suit I adore. HA!
J You are not alone. We read these verses sometimes with a comical attitude asking, really God, I have all of this inside of me?? , His response, “Yes, my daughter, you have that and then some!” Choosing to look on the inside of your heart and life requires a bit of grace and humility, and most women have this in a “overflow” vat next to that “emergency” piece of chocolate….wait is that just our house??? HA! God is ready to do the impossible in our lives if only we are willing to sift through the “muck & maar” of our ideas of how we think our lives should begin and end. Yes dear sister we’re speaking of Surrender!

In the bible there are many verses that explain the heart of a surrendered woman. Ruth’s surrender to God’s will for her life, Naomi’s surrender to go back home, and even Sarah’s surrender & laughter to the Holy Spirit’s promise that she would bear a son. There are many un-named women in the bible who surrendered to the assignment of God, the woman with the issues of blood, the woman at the well, many heartfelt, healing hopeful examples of the benefits of surrender. Will you come alongside your heart of surrender today?? How will you allow these examples of women in the bible, transform you into a “wife of faith”?? Start today by saying, “I surrender to the will and ways of God, and desire to be a wife who walks in faith!” Repeat it. Say it again, until your mouth convinces your heart if what your Spirit is capable of doing in your life and your marriage.

We truly believe that one of the most successful keys to a happy marriage is a surrendered wife. Notice that we did not say “submissive”??? Don’t confuse the two, where there is surrender, submission will surely follow! Many marriages are lost because the wife has chosen to entertain an “obstructed channel”, a channel that hinders growth, harbors distraction, and causes false ideas as to what her marriage was created for. In order for the Holy Spirit to be effective in the lives of women, we must be clear and open channels for the discerning power of the Holy Spirit to move in the love that you and your husband share, the nurturing that you have as a mother, and the servitude that you have as a women called to ministry. Obstructed channels can be described as, harboring hatred, not forgiving another, or anger, bitterness or resentment. Your “wifely” characteristics are so important and detrimental to not only your marriage, but the kingdom of heaven. What you do now, could be the difference maker for generations to come. Be and stay on guard friend, minor marriage disagreements , or how you treat your family members or friends, these unruly character traits can sneak into our lives, or our homes and settle there, “quenching” the power of the Holy Spirit, and cause a stagnation of movement and miracles to stop the flow of purpose in our lives. We have to pray and seek God’s face daily to keep our lives in alignment with Him.
Today, stop being the greatest obstacle in the way of the Holy Spirit. Be the wife that He called you to be. Allow the faith of Proverbs, the hope of Ruth, and the many other godly examples of women in the bible make a mark in your life today. Choose today to stop complaining about what your husband is or is not doing, and repent and start speaking the good and faith-filled things that are transforming your husband even as you read this post. Give your all to allowing yourself to seek God daily, and surrender you heart to Him, saying, “Not my will but, thy will be done, in my life and in my marriage. We are right here rooting you on “girlfriend”, and we can’t wait to see and hear the faith that God is doing in and through your life and your marriage. Watch God blow your mind like never before, taking you and your husband and your family, to higher heights with Him! Praying for you always……… -iCleave Ministries Inc.
